The heart of the Ears Up studio is the Sonodeck, a custom-built, modular workspace surrounded by a network of loudspeakers that we can position anywhere above, around, or below the listening area. It provides us with the tools to emulate the wide variety of audio systems that we encounter in our projects.
Ears Up’s inventory includes dozens of loudspeakers by industry leader Meyer Sound. QSC’s Q-Sys system, the nearly-ubiquitous choice of themed installations worldwide, provides the digital backbone for the studio and allows us to prototype the audio system programming as well as the loudspeaker layout. A large complement of microphones by Sennheiser, Neumann, and DPA allows us to capture the raw ingredients of our soundtracks at the highest quality.
Our VR system adds full-scale visuals to the prototyping experience. This gives our designers a close approximation of a guest’s point of view, creating an ideal environment for experimentation and discovery.
